Aircraft Maintenance
Let our Department of Maintenance work for you!
Our seasoned maintenance team can provide services to you that include, but are not limited to:
- Inspections: Annuals, 100 hours, 50 hours or any that you are considering purchasing.
- Wheels, tires, brakes, pads. Repairs and replacements.
- Windshield repairs and replacements. Seal or re-seal.
- Sheet metal repairs. Flaps, rudders, fuselage, spars, ribs, wings, aileron.
- Electrical rigging, wiring, lights, navigation.
- Parts repairs or replacements.
- Oil Changes.
Maintenance is at the core of having a high quality aircraft. At American Winds we demand the best service for our aircraft. To ensure the safety and integrity of our aircraft we have our own maintenance department. Our maintenance department has experienced, professional mechanics. Now we are offering the same superior quality and timely service we use on our own fleet to you.
Maintenance is one of the most important aspects of insuring your investment in your aircraft. American Winds can perform maintenance on all piston engine planes. American Winds own fleet includes Cessna 150's, Cessna 172 SP, Piper Arrow, Piper Warrior and Piper Seneca II, and therefore our staff has extensive knowledge of these aircraft. In the past we have also done maintenance on Cirruses, Beechcrafts as well as many other aircraft.
Inspections
American Winds performs all types of inspections. If you want an aircraft inspected before you buy it or you just need your annual inspection, our maintenance staff can conduct these procedures.
Maintaining Your Aircraft
Everything from oil changes to electrical rigging, no matter what your service needs, our maintenance department can keep your aircraft in great condition both inside and outside. Parts for virtually any aircraft can be made available upon request.
Our Director of Maintenance, Brad Grissom
Brad has 23 years experience as a FAA-Certified Airplane and Powerplant mechanic. Brad got his start in aviation mechanics working at his father's aviation maintenance business. In addition to being a certified A&P, he is an Inspector Authorization (IA). This certification requires that you be a working mechanic for at least three consecutive years and pass a written exam. As an IA, Brad is certified to sign-off on certain procedures, such as annual inspections.
